How to Burst an Empire
How to Burst an Empire is Circus Radix’s inaugural show, set for its world premiere in June of 2027 in Seattle, Washington. An ensemble show that shines a light on supplanting authoritarian power in an attention economy, by shifting focus and resources to those around us and away from these powers. How to burst an empire follows a crew of storytellers as they face the challenges and the joys of building solidarity with each other. As we devise we will be allowing curiosity about these topics to guide us: How do we care for everyone in a neighborhood, not just those with resources? How to we build back from crackdowns and setbacks? How do we build trust in a surveillance state that encourages suspicion and infighting among us?
